Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong on 19 February 2013 jointly launched Afiniti Medini, the urban wellness project, and Avira, the resort wellness project, both located in Medini, Iskandar Malaysia. The two leaders also officiated at the groundbreaking ceremony of Afiniti Medini.

Afiniti Medini, the urban wellness project, will be a regional destination for families, tourists and professionals looking to combine wellness, retail and hospitality experiences as well as corporate training needs in a holistic package.

Nestled in the heart of Iskandar Malaysia, it has been carefully designed where each space is interlaced with nature, built within a nurturing environment. It consists of a cocoon for its residents and guests to discover the complete wellness lifestyle and immerse in the therapeutic effects of nature.

Derived from the word ‘Affinity’ which denotes a relationship between everything that you desire and the blissful offerings of this oasis, AFINITI, Medini is perfectly in tune with one’s needs and aspirations. This mixed-use development comprises serviced apartments, residential units, wellness centre, corporate training centre and wellness-themed retail.

Afiniti Medini is developed by Pulau Indah Ventures Sdn Bhd (PIV), a 50-50 venture between Khazanah Nasional Bhd and Temasek Holdings Pte Ltd.

CIMB Investment Bank Bhd, The Ascott Ltd and Parkway Pantai Ltd have been appointed as key partners for Afiniti Medini. They were selected for their expertise and track record in their respective sectors.

Afiniti Medini provides holistic experience through its five key offerings – a corporate training centre, serviced apartments, strata residences, a wellness centre and a retail component.

CIMB will be the anchor tenant, using the centre for its regional CIMB Leadership Academy.

Somerset Medini Iskandar serviced apartments, managed by Ascott, will provide quality hospitality services and a wellness centre while Parkway Pantai will bring to this development an integrated wellness centre which is the first of its kind in the region.

A retail component comprises speciality shops and food and beverage outlets that extends the wellness concept coherently through the development.

The strata residences are expected to be launched in the second-quarter of 2013 while Afiniti Medini is targeted to be completed by end-2015.

The first package of construction works comprising Piling and Sub-Structure Works including Basement Carcase has commenced on site. Tender Documents for Main Building Works are currently being prepared in conjunction with all other appointed consultants.
